SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN

For this witty and refreshing musical, the year is 1938, toward the end of the Great Depression, and we are in the congregation of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, NC. We are attending a rousingly wonderful Saturday evening hymn sing and awaiting the arrival of the Sanders Family Singers. Once the family arrives, the evening explodes into a down-home tribute to vintage pop hymns of rural America. Songs include "Whispering Hope", "Rock of Ages", "The Church In The Wildwood", "I'll Fly Away" to name a few!
