Positions currently available:

HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR: Responsible for cleaning two buildings owned by
Circa ’21 after each show.  This is a full-time job and has 2-3 other staff members
this person is responsible for scheduling and managing.  Must be willing to work

GROUP SALES DIRECTOR: Responsible for selling and booking motorcoach groups in the theatre.  Prior sales experience is required.  Must be willing to travel and work up to six days a week. Please send cover letter and resume to Diane Laake at dlaake@circa21.com



AUDIO DESIGNER/ ENGINEER: Circa '21 is seeking a year-round theatrical
audio designer/ engineer to design sound; operate sound board with multiple
wireless vocal mics; repair and maintain sound system for all Circa ’21 performances, concerts and other events in the theatre; create all SFX; coordinate audio performance tracks; create preshow audio tracks; et al. Prefer 3+ years experience in theatrical sound design and engineering experience with a professional theatre, a touring company or entertainment venue, We anticipate reopening early July. Kitchen help: Kitchen help is needed for buffet runners and prep helpers. 
Workers help set up, tear down and fill the buffet tables during dinner. 

Must be available evenings and weekends. Food Handler Certification is

needed within 30 days of employment. If interested, please come to Circa ’21,

1828 3rd Avenue, Rock Island, between the hours  of 10 – 4, Monday – Saturday, to complete an application or download an application from our website.

Costume Shop: Seeking experienced stitchers to help build the costumes on a per-show basis. Experience with home sewing machines necessary and industrial sewing machines preferred. Able to take construction direction and have experience with a variety of fabrics and theatrical construction techniques. Other duties may include pulling items from stock, polishing/dying shoes, hand sewing, labeling costume pieces, repairs of costume pieces,  alterations of existing pieces, etc. Working from home is also a possibility for certain projects.


Wardrobe Laundry (part time): Washes, dries, and presses/steams costume pieces for the Circa ‘21 stage productions. Weekly obligations are usually Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons. The time frame varies from show to show, somewhere between 2 and 5 hours per laundry day. Flexibility required, particularly during the closing of a show and the rehearsal period for the new show. Additional laundry duties are required during performances of our productions for children. Those laundry days are usually Tuesday afternoons and Saturday afternoons, depending on the performance schedule.

Changeover Crew: Crew members are needed for the show changeover. The next changeover date is March 14. Must be 18 or over, with proof of health insurance to apply. Help needed in areas such as dismantling and loading scenery; unloading and assembling scenery; rigging scenery to fly; hanging and focusing lights; and much more.
